About life

How many things have you left behind since you arrived this world? Who would you like to be with one more time? Which memories do you keep as the most important and fragile treasure?

La Maison en Petits Cubes (2008, written by Kenya Hirata,
directed by Kuni Katō, music by Kenji Kondo)

Who are you among all these portraits, after all?

People say that when you are about to die, you can see your whole life again. I don't believe that. But I do believe there must be something that pops up in your mind before the very end. What does that little fraction of memory mean? What does it define? Maybe one will find out only when it's too damn late. (G.P.)
